Policymakers and their staffs face a growing number of complicated issues. The Communications Institute, working with its partnering academic/research institutions, provides valuable perspectives and resources on these issues in the following areas.

Educational Symposiums

Communications Institute symposiums have been conducted in the United States Capitol, State Capitols, and university campuses. Participants have included Members of Congress, State Legislatures, legislative and committee staff, and leaders from local government. Research

The Institute also conducts research studies on specific issues ranging from energy policy to immigration, all co-sponsored by nationally recognized and respected academic institutions.

Issue Seminars

The Institute organizes special seminars and presentations for groups of policy makers on all levels of government. The seminars can deal with specific issues or provide basic knowledge in economics or science/engineering. Issue Backgrounders

The Institute also provides backgrounders in both print and video format to policy makers. Previous topics have included health care, published with the RAND Corporation; immigration, in collaboration with Arizona State University/University of Arizona; and energy, in concert with the University of Southern California, the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and the California Institute of Technology.
